CCPA recently signed on, along with 29 other patient organizations, to a national advocacy letter led by RetireSafe urging Congress to pass the bipartisan RESULTS Act (S. 2761 / H.R. 5269). The letter calls on Congressional leaders to act before harmful 2026 Medicare lab payment cuts take effect.
The RESULTS Act would replace outdated reimbursement rules with a modern, data-driven approach that protects older adults’ access to accurate, timely diagnostic tests — essential tools that guide nearly 70% of clinical decisions while accounting for less than 1% of Medicare spending.
By joining this effort, CCPA stands with patient advocates and health organizations nationwide in urging Congress to strengthen diagnostic access for Medicare beneficiaries.
