Cancer remains the leading cause of death in Colorado and is projected to claim nearly 9,000 lives in 2025. The sooner we find cancer, the more lives we can save. Multi-cancer early detection (MCED) tests can detect dozens of cancers with a simple blood draw, significantly expanding our available cancer screening tools. Rep. Evans is working for access.
The Medicare Multi-Cancer Early Detection Screening Coverage Act (H.R. 842) would allow Medicare to cover these tests, giving Colorado seniors access to the latest detection tools. With over 270 cosponsors in the House and the backing of 400+ organizations across the country, momentum is building, and it should urgently be passed into law.
