After a devastating car accident left Paul in a wheelchair, he needed GLP-1 medications to lose weight and help manage other health conditions that developed following the accident. Medi-Cal in California covered the medication until 2025, when cuts to the program left Paul without access to this medically necessary treatment. This is Paul’s story.
