The Chronic Care Policy Alliance (CCPA) strongly opposes and calls for the withdrawal of the “Most Favored Nations” (MFN) Interim Final Rule.CCPA is a network of state and regional advocacy organizations advancing public policy that improves the lives of those living with chronic conditions and diseases.
We support patient-centered approaches to reform that prioritize the wellbeing and health of patients with chronic conditions. Unfortunately, in order to realize cost savings, the MFN rule will limit patient access to medications and will be particularly detrimental to patients with chronic conditions. For an individual struggling with cancer, autoimmune disorders, Alzheimer’s, muscular dystrophy, or one of the many other chronic illnesses, consistent and reliable access to medications is vital to their health and survival.
This rule threatens the health of our most vulnerable patients and we urge all policymakers to join us in calling for it to be immediately rescinded.
